Words....they are the most soothing to the ears or the very thing that sliced up your heart.
Isnt it amazing the versatility of something so simple as this 5 letters?
the very simple words that a person can utter in the most appropriate timings can make a person all flutter and feel good for a while.it brings them up to such a level of high that you could just feel the very light shining out of their smiles.and you feel good too...the beauty of words is in that....it brings a smile to someone and that smile brings a smile to another and another and its infectious.and it all comes out from simple words such as a very warm "hello" or " how was your day?" or all gd and nice things...a compliment for the day..."you look good in that dress".."I miss
your smiles throughout the weekend"....feels gd doesnt it to be hearing all these words?
On the other hand,Sometimes, people have no idea that whatever they say even in jokes and laughter may have hurt another coz on another occasion, the other party seems to be alrite with it but at times, they take offence.especially so when that party had heard so much of the same things over a period of time. But the thing is,you cant be angry with them coz they dont know. You are angry at yourself for being so affected by every little thing.you wish you dun care but you do,coz in your mind, there are a lot of things that goes on like Is that what people really thought of you?and these are your frens and loved ones.deep down, human beings still care abt the images they potray to others and how others see them, even though on your tongue you say you dun care what others says.
That is when the emotional turmoil...the guilt, the feeling of self worthlessness, self detest and all negative traits will come thru.and all these because someone says the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time and offence was taken.
What would be my reaction?
personally,i wish that if i did slighted someone, that someone will tell me.i can only promise to try to make it up and try to be more sensitive to other needs.but at times,i guess its not that easy.
Im trying.
But,should it be the other way round in the sense that someone had slighted me,i dun think i will tell the person unless it gets out of hand.i rather swallow than be called petty i guess.....but when one is pushed too far, they would retaliate and i would do the same thing too.why wont i tell?coz i believe that its a sign that my loved ones care in their own ways i guess, even through harsh and hurtful words.
well, aint words a double edged sword to wield?
