Its the second day of Raya today.And Im wide awake at this
time though i should be sleepy from all the fatigue and late nights.
Hahaha....
They say that raya is a before,during and after ceremony.U know,
the mess to be cleared before the occasion,the curtains to put up,
the whole house to be mopped and every nook of the place to be
inspected and cleaned as though parasites have invaded.And if u get
my mum,gosh...the amt of flowers to be cleaned....enuf to set up a
florist shop if the flowers are real!hehehe....but,she makes the house
beautiful...so,wat the heck!?I just indulged her....i dun have her
flowery skills so,must indulged her even more.My dad is such a poor
darling,drilling here and there and doing the more manual side...
hehehehe....but lucky for him,he can lose a lot of weight..whereas me,
sighs....hate sitting at home,weight gain is such a bummer!should help
more but just like Shicks,I clown around too much.But,I did to the best
of my ability.
Then there are the during affairs....The visiting,the eating,the asking
of forgiveness,the dramas...heehe....not that i mind it too much...its
a once a year affair.
Well,in 2 more mths,the after affairs will come.the putting away of the
new curtains in fav of the everyday curtains,the linen to be put away
and such.
On the morning of AidilFitri,i really felt so sappy.The takbir always
makes one feel so humbled and so calm.Of course,something else dawned
on me.
If i were to go and further my studies,This is the last raya
before I do so and somehow,it makes the day even more important.We might be
only be gone for 2 years and we might even come back in between but it still makes
it even more important coz we might be a totally different person when we
come back and this is the time to see ourselves as we are before that.
It makes the whole process of the before,during and after even more meaningful.
so,even though i clown ard in the before process,i felt good coz i DO make
the effort to help out a bit more than normal.School would usually makes
me a bit negligent but now,no such excuses.
well,it was a good day with the start of the day brings calls from dear
people like Hida and Fir and the closure of the day with msgs from old
crushes such as my still existing long time 'door' and my primary school
crush and seeing old crush aka 'next door'.hehehe....
So,Selamat Hari Raya,Maaf Zahir Dan Batin.
